Product Description

Povidone iodine is a loose complex combined by elemental iodine and polymer carrier. Povidone has the effect of carrier and solubilizing effect. At room temperature, it is yellow brown to brown red amorphous powder. Slightly odor, soluble in water or ethanol. Its aqueous solution is acidic. Insoluble in ether, chloroform, acetone, ethane and carbon tetrachloride. Povidone iodine aqueous solution does not have the disadvantage of iodine tincture. It has light color and is easy to elute, with little irritation to the mucosa. Do not need ethanol deiodination. No corrosion, and low toxicity.
